Credentials
I received a degree in Nuclear Physics in 1970 from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). I have worked for the Department of the Navy for the past 30 years as a physicist and as an electronics engineer. The majority of my career has been in supervision and management. I received a Public Management Certificate from Indiana University (IU) in 1999.
My professional expertise is complemented by my personal expertise. I constructed my own home. This effort encompassed all facets of construction including: excavation, foundation, framing, roofing, electrical, plumbing, lighting, insulation, dry wall, window and door installation, cabinets, ceramic tile, wood burning stove installation, decking, driveway and bridge construction. I have also successfully installed a solar panel electrical system.
I have heated my home for the past 20 years solely with wood. As a result, I have experience in timbering, cutting and splitting hardwood.
Finally, but not least - website design and construction. This website contains over 100 web pages. The site was designed to allow quick access and provide information to even those individuals who live in the countryside and do not have access to T1 lines. It is designed using the principles of right brain/left brain construction (on advice from my daughter).
Acknowledgments
I would like to acknowledge the contributions of Sam Stuart (Chemical Engineer) and Larry Hammersley (Chemist).
